If you look at some of the videos on You Tube on face skin rejuvenation, you begin to wonder about how serious these people are. They are usually using techniques such as PRP (platelet rich plasma), stem cell facelifts, fractional CO2 laser and other non invasive procedures which can cost about $2,000 or even more, depending on the procedures used. Sometimes they use hyaluronic acid or the body’s own stem cells. They then claim that the human body will do all the rest!
Then there are other methods which use skin renewal electro-optical (ELOS) which is a combo of intense pulsed optical energy and a bipolar radiofrequency.
The strange thing is that some videos show a patient getting injections although you are never shown his or her face. And of course, you are never shown the results either, which would be the logical and ethical way to present any treatment like that. The lack of before and after shots makes one wonder what these people are trying to prove.
But there are lots of easier, safer and less expensive ways if you really want to have face skin rejuvenation. A lot of these are to do with your lifestyle and they are easily implemented. For example, getting enough exercise is crucial.
This is really what makes a difference because it is one of the cheapest ways of getting circulation right to the surface of your skin. That means that the essential nutrients are getting to their destination.
If you are a couch potato you will never have glowing skin. Another factor which we should not forget about exercise is that fact that it helps us to rest, uplifts our mood and it gives our bodies and skin time to recuperate and therefore become younger.
Keeping skin hydrated does not just mean putting on plenty of moisturizer. We also need to drink plenty of water so that this can help our body get rid of all those toxins which inevitably accumulate.
Ramping up on antioxidant foods such as fruit and vegetables will do us a lot of good and will help the face skin rejuvenation process much more than we can imagine. The reason is that antioxidants fight off the free radicals which tend to destroy cells and also stop them from renewing.
But what about topical skincare ingredients which can also help us? If we avoid all the nasty chemicals and synthetics, then we have a really good chance of implementing a skincare regime which is both safe and effective. It would also give us results and we need never worry about rashes, allergic reactions or even possibly cancer, kidney failure or hormonal disturbances.
Yes, these are just some of the effects of cheap and not so cheerful skincare on the market to-day. It seems that price is king although there have been some cases of very expensive products not doing the job as well as cheaper products, but that is another story.
