Why is paraben free face care so important nowadays? Why are a lot of cosmetic firms using the label ‘paraben free’on all their products? The answer is a fairly simple one. They are trying to make them much safer.
The reason is that researchers at the Brunel University in Middlesex in the UK have confirmed that these parabens can actually help to produce more oestrogen which is regarded as a risk, especially for women who may contract breast cancer.
The European Parliament is also acutely aware of this risk and is about to pass legislation which would ban the use of parabens in all personal care products.
It is no harm to look at a little history of these preservatives. They were invented in the 1920s and have been used as preservatives in lots of products since that time. That is almosd a century! But they have always worked well in preventing mold and also in helping to prolong the shelf life of products.
But now parabens, which may have escaped the radar up to now, are coming under heavy scrutiny. The ones to watch out for are ethylparaben, methylparaben, propylparaben and butylparaben.
Recently a mother discovered that they were in the baby lotion she was giving to her child who had developed a nasty rash as a reaction to the parabens in the lotion. It was only after carefully reading the labels on all the products she was using did she realize that she had just saved her baby girl from having early puberty and later fertility problems and maybe even cancer.
As these parabens are in almost every personal care product it is a good idea to go for products which proudly display the label of paraben free lotions and creams. This is no exaggeration because if we are using creams and body lotions, then 70% of the toxins and nasty chemicals get into the bloodstream. That means that the endocrine system will be skewed and your hormones will be disturbed, to put it mildly.
So, paraben free face care is big news at the moment. The only problem is that many companies stop there and still use lots of other chemicals and synthetics in their personal care products.
We need to look for serious companies who are absolutely committed to the safety of their customers. They have excluded all parabens, mineral oils and are dedicated to using organic skincare and they can really boast that they are producing paraben free face care.
I know one company in New Zealandwho do just that and they can offer some amazing guarantees. Why not check out my website to find out some more.
