  • Your Essential Guide To Dry Skin Care – Follow This Advice And Get Glowing Skin.
  • Dry skin care is best looked after by taking a few simple precautions. We can ensure that :-

    • air indoors is sufficiently humid and not too dry
    • avoiding extremes of cold and exposure to cold winds
    • we have ruled out other medical conditions such as thyroid deficiency, diabetes  and other diseases
    • we have excluded that it may be eczema or other skin conditions

We can also make sure that we have a daily routine which ensures that we do not:-

    • use hot water when washing
    • we can always used tepid water
    • we do not wash too much
    • we do not use harsh soaps or shower gel
    • we can use a gentle cleanser instead.

The problem with the hot water and long showers is that they tend to strip all the moisture out of the skin which is exactly what we do NOT want. That is also the risk when we have long hot baths or even bubble baths. We should limit the bath time to not more than fifteen minutes.

Other techniques for dry skin care are the following :-

    • there is no need to rub ourselves dry in a vigorous way although that might help if the bathroom is cold!
    • we should pat ourselves dry – the reason is that again we need to keep the oils intact in the skin and not upset the delicate moisture/oil balance.

We need to substitute the typical body creams recommended for dry skin care which contain harmful chemicals, with natural substances which are much gentler on the skin and also much more compatible. I am thinking here of shea butter, and any natural substances which contain the vital vitamins A, C and E, not forgetting the antioxidants. Keeping sebum levels up are a great way of avoiding dry itchy skin.

So, the choice of a moisturizer, in addition to all the other precautions I have mentioned above, is a guarantee that we can really take care of dry itchy skin, without having to suffer any reaction or take any risks.

We should be on the lookout for alcohol in moisturizers, mineral oils such as ethyl or propyl.  Ws should also be careful to avoid any of the parabens, which are great preservatives and have been in use since the 1920s. It is high time that these were put into retirement because studies now show that they disturb our endocrine system and can lead to cancer as well.

Isn’t it time that you took dry skin care more seriously and found out how a real moisturizer using super natural ingredients can really work wonders for your skin?  Why hesitate?
